Research summary

Dr Alberto Nettel-Aguirre's research interest areas are statistical methods in the life sciences, namely correct application of biostatistical methods, social network analysis and statistical learning. His early research focused on cell shape analysis, then on social networks and the effect of this on health outcomes; lately he is looking into the use of functional data analysis in several areas of health, social network analysis in neurology and has an interest in potential diagnostics for missing data patterns. He has extensive co-investigator roles with nephrologists, neonatologists and injury prevention researchers.
